Kiln-dried firewood

Beech, hornbeam and birch logs, dried to below 20% moisture and stacked by hand in wooden crates of 1 or 1.8 stacked cubic metres, so the load travels safely and moves with a forklift. Retail net bags for petrol stations and garden centres are packed in the same crates.

Beech firewood in crates

Split beech logs, kiln-dried and stacked by hand in wooden crates, strapped for forklift handling. Beech is one of the densest firewoods in Europe: long burn, high heat, very little spark. The standard choice for Danish and German stoves.

Hornbeam firewood in crates

Hornbeam is heavier and burns hotter than beech, with a slow, even flame and a small ash residue. Sought after by buyers serving pizza ovens, restaurants and customers who want the longest possible burn from one load.

Birch firewood in crates

Birch lights easily, burns with a bright flame and a pleasant smell, and is the traditional firewood of Scandinavia. Lighter than beech, so a crate holds fewer kilograms, which shows in the price per crate.
